Nicki Rouge Bijou began her journey into the world of special occasion makeup in 2014, sparked by a personal experience. In the midst of a challenging relationship where she felt less attractive, Nicki turned to makeup as a way to boost her appearance and, subsequently, her self-esteem. Through the process of enhancing her own beauty, she discovered a newfound confidence. Realizing the transformative power of makeup, she felt a calling to help other women experience the same boost in self-assurance. This marked the beginning of her career in makeup artistry.
Years later, seeking more consistent bookings and the opportunity to build lasting relationships, Nicki transitioned into the bridal industry. After spending approximately two years working intermittently in this field, she identified a significant gap: the need for high-level, elegant bridal beauty services tailored for women of color. Recognizing that this was a challenge she could not address alone, she was inspired to create the Nicki Rouge Bridal Team.
In 2021, Nicki embarked on a mission to recruit talented makeup and hair artists who embodied the core values of high integrity, strong morals, professionalism, and exceptional talent. Her dedication paid off, and today, Nicki Rouge Bridal Team is one of the most sought-after bridal beauty teams in Chicago and beyond. They have served hundreds of brides and bridal parties, earning numerous accolades, prestigious publications, and a wealth of five-star reviews.
